Dihydrocapsaicin-d3 is the deuterium-labeled version of Dihydrocapsaicin. It is a capsaicin and a potent, selective TRPV1 (transient receptor potential vanilloid channel 1) agonist. This compound reduces AIF, Bax, and Caspase-3 expressions, while increasing Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, and p-Akt levels. It also enhances hypothermia-induced neuroprotection after ischemic stroke via PI3K/Akt regulation in rats.
